Bespoke Education

Staunford Law focuses on providing bespoke education – that is a learning pathway that is designed specifically for you, to ensure you reach your full potential as a gifted student. To identify how best to realize your potential you will need to have both an assessment and an interview. This process will help us to identify your strengths and areas in which you need scaffolding, prior to entering the programme. We use this data to individualize the learning process you will take, to maximize the education value of each unit.

Our interview process is run using a combination of tools recognized and widely used within the field of Educational Psychology to help establish, and then monitor the progress of a student's learning. We are keen to identify your personality, and to address the question of 'who are you'.

You will be assessed in areas such as your capacity for intellectual thought, your communication skills, how focused are you in achieving your aims, do you collaborate and how well are you managing your well-being. There are no right and wrong answers. Instead this data helps us to understand your strengths and weaknesses so that we can create and implement strategies to help you overcome challenges that have held you back from fully realizing your potential before.

After the initial assessment is completed, you will be interviewed by our staff. The results of this process are compiled in an 'LEx Report'.LEx is defined as Learning Extension, which can be understood as gifted education. When we use LEx, we mean how can a students learning be extended. Staunford Law might for example increasing the academic rigour of a course by using more complex materials based on the report. Or we might look to increase volume of materials covered or use different approaches to understand the same content. In other words the report allows Staunford Law to understand how you approach and solve problems so that we can create a bespoke learning program that responds to those needs. Staunford Law personalizes a student’s learning experience and content.

The LEx report also outlines how you learn, your strengths, and a series of strategies that can be implemented not just in the student's academic work, but also in life in general will be given that students can action immediately. The LEx Report will provide detailed advice on how you can push yourself as a gifted learner in every aspect of your life. This report is available to you from the end of the first session.
