Community

Staunford Law believes that knowledge is nothing without application. Once a you have finished their learning, they are given an appropriate opportunity to use that knowledge in the community.

This might be the opportunity to see the legal process at work. For example if you specialize in Criminal law, then you could be given the opportunity to attend a criminal trial or to visit a law office. Conversely, you might want to take the skillset that you have developed and use it to enter a mooting competition, workplace visitations, lectures and shadowing opportunities run through third party groups such as law firms, universities or government organizations. We arrange these visits and make sure that a guide qualified in law accompanies you to the venue and offers on site interpretation.

We want to ensure that students are grounded and challenged to use their knowledge in new and practical ways that provide co-curricular and extra-curricular learning opportunities that they have not been exposed to before.

Each community programme opportunity will conclude with a letter of recommendation being made available to you in which the students accomplishments and duties during their community project are outlined.
